The place: small, simple & cozy
The campsite has 2 stars and as far as we are concerened, there is no need for more.
There is no swimming pool, no animation programme, no bistro, no evening clerk, no playground, no soccer field.
There is everything you need for basic camping:
hot showers, toilets, scullery, electricity, launderette, tearoom with fireplace, a small shop with drinks and ice cream, bread service and information material.
Wifi is available around reception in case of emergency, a little slow but for free!
BBQ with charcoal and gas is permitted - definitely not with wood.
Parties, campfires and music is off limits - it should be as quiet and safe as possible.
sanitary area
6 Showers / 10 toilets,
chemical toilet,
scullery (2 sinks with warm water),
laundry room with washer and dryer,
outside sinks with 3 cold water connections.
Two additional watertaps on the field.
All water connections carry drinking water.
The sanitary area is open throughout.
During cleaning, there are some restrictions on usage.
At night the temperaturefor the warm water is lowered.
sauna
A plain barrel sauna in the forest, heated with wood stove can be rented by the hour (off-season) .
Price (incl. fire wood):

We also lend:
sauna towel € 2.50

(zero) müll
we ask our guests to avoid litter and to dispense with disposable items and superfluous packaging like disposable grills, plastic dishes ....
In our garbage - bins we collect separate: glass, plastic, paper, residual waste
bulky waste (tents, pavilions, airbeds..) cannot be discarded here.
to avoid the food-waste: we have installed a food-sharing-box
By the way: we also want to avoid light pollution - the lighting of the trails is kept to a minimum- in the forest there is none (please do not forget flashlights!).
winter garden
The winter garden is furnished with a tea room, a fireplace and a small library with some games.
It will be a fine place for those campers, who feel too cramped in their van or feel cold in their tent.
In front of the winter garden our herbary provides the ingredients for fresh teas or spices to complete your meals.
kiosk
You will get nearly everything in Eupen (3km).
If you need less, you will find a selection of important and unimportant
things in our reception:. Such as our self-made honey, eggs, milk, beverages, icecream (only in summer),
maps for hikers & bikers, charcoal ......
In the evening you can order coffee/tea, baguettes and rolls for breakfast (only in peak-saison & weekends).
Besides of this we have a lot of information material about the possibilities of the neighborhood.

We have a boules court, balls can be lend at the reception.
We lend:
- small bbqs including charcoal € 5
- hammocks (fee)
Ice packs can be stored in the freezer for a small fee.
And: there is wifi around the reception, not very fast, but for free.
The campsite itself is without wifi - an opportunity for some digital detox....
